The Final Warning

There are many sermons, books, articles, and other mediums that warns us about the 2nd coming of Christ and the need for everyone to be ready. Yet, many are still walking as a dead man. What makes this message so alarming is the fact that no one knows when Christ will return. As it is written, in the book of Matthew 24:36, “about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Yet, even with the sound of alarms and various warnings, many have not taken heed. Part of the reasons why is; the desire to satisfy the flesh.
Let’s start by delving into the most common fleshly desire, “entertainment.” Some forms of entertainment that are causing many to walk as a dead man are; social media, sports games, music and TV, and concerts. People waste hundreds of hours on these systems and events and spend hundreds to thousands of dollars walking a path that will lead to a dead end. These things do not draw you closer to Christ in fact they do exactly the opposite, draw you further away into the hands of the enemy.
There is a common saying that Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy, and he does this through these mediums. Just imagine how close you would be to Christlike, if you dedicated just as much time and gave your tithes to the Church as you do for entertainment. After all, you reap what you sow. According to Galatians, God will not be deceived and will not be mocked. Whatever a man sows that will he reap, either sow to his own flesh and reap corruption, or sow to the Spirit for eternal life. So, you get to choose your destiny. Either, keep dying more and more in the flesh because it is SO FUN, or get ready to bow out gracefully from this world to receive God’s Glory.
Do you even realize the devils work in the entertainment industry? Don’t you know his plan is to pull us further away from God? If you never saw entertainment in its true dark state, let me shed some light:
Idolatry- Entertainers are there to entertain. This will mean consuming so much of your attention that you lose sight which will eventually lead to your loss in belief and faith. Which can be compared to the falling away. You may ask how is this idolatry, well let’s start by completing a quick Google search.
According to Google, idolatry is an extreme admiration, love, or reverence for something or someone.
That being said, let’s rephrase the question, “Who or what do you idolize?” “Are you giving this person or thing more time and energy than you give to God?” If you had to even think about your response for a slight second, then the answer is probably Yes. Now you may say to yourself, I only scroll social media 1 hour a day, or I have only been to 2 NBA games this year. Okay, how many hours do you give to God in a day, or what reward do you receive by giving tithes to the NBA? EXACTLY! Wake up! All of this is sowing into the flesh. Even greater, if you stop for a minute and think about something as simple as, “Why are entertainers paid MILLIONS of dollars while everyone else is barely making enough to survive? Maybe because they were tempted and are now pawns of Satan.
Did you know that Jesus was tempted in the same manner by Satan? In the book of Matthew Chapter 4, Jesus is taken up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed the kingdoms of the world, when Satan tells him I will give you ALL these things if you will fall down and worship me. Think now about celebrities. They have signed a contract with Satan to sit on that same high mountain that Christ was tempted to sit on. The only difference is Christ declined. So, to sum it all up, they are paid so much simply to distract you from God's plan by taking so much of your time, that there is little to none left to dedicate to your God.
As I bring this to a close I want to remind you that, God will not be mocked. So, if you think for once that God feels like a failure because you have turned away you need to think again. Remember God is the creator; therefore, God will have a final say in your eternal resting place. If you choose to follow the flesh, all you will hear are these words, “I NEVER KNEW YOU.” So, take this as your final warning to get right because the hour is here and judgement is now.
Other scriptures that you can read to help you understand the warnings and judgement are;
Proverbs 4:14-15
Ezekiel 3:18- If you were not warned
Titus 3:10- Last Warning
Hebrews 10:25- The day is near
Revelation 3:3- The thief is coming while you sleep
Luke 21:36- Stay awake at all time
If you know this to be true, the put on The Truth!
